Let's Meet at SLAS 2023 - Booth #428
Stop by Booth #428 to watch a demonstration of the AVENIO Edge System for automated library prep. This truly walk-away, easy-to-adopt automation system for WGS and target enrichment workflows carries out all steps of library preparation—including normalization and pooling—all right on the deck.
If you have your own liquid handling system, ask us about automated KAPA Library Prep workflows on non-Roche liquid handling systems, including complimentary method development on select liquid handlers.
We’ll also have several scientific posters to share: KAPA HyperExome probes implemented on Roche's AVENIO Edge System; and KAPA EvoPlus on two non-Roche systems—the Biomek i5 Automated Workstation (Beckman Coulter Life Sciences) and Sciclone G3 NGSx Workstation (PerkinElmer).
What is the SLAS International Conference and Exhibition?
The Society for Laboratory Automation and Screening (SLAS) International Conference and Exhibition features scientific sessions in nine tracks delivered by a diverse group of scientists, academic researchers, and industry professionals from around the world. SLAS 2023 will provide the platform to connect, collaborate and showcase your research, products and services to an eager and energized audience.

Featured Products in Booth #428
AVENIO Edge System is designed for users at any level, and provides true walk-away NGS library prep automation—including WGS, target enrichment, pooling, and
normalization.
Automated NGS workflows are available on a variety of liquid handlers, developed in collaboration with other vendors—so when you are ready to automate, you can plug-and-play these existing methods.
KAPA HyperPETE primer extension target enrichment offers both the performance of hybrid capture and the simplicity of amplicon workflows.
KAPA EvoPlus is a new inhibitor-tolerant enzymatic DNA library prep solution that leverages novel ReadyMix reagents to minimize pipetting steps and streamline library prep.

2PerkinElmer, Inc., Waltham, MA
Summary: The Roche KAPA EvoPlus Kit is a new, high-performing enzymatic fragmentation solution for DNA library preparation. KAPA EvoPlus Kit is tolerant of many common inhibitors, includes convenient automation-friendly ReadyMixes in tubes or in plates, and is stable at room temperature for 24 hours.
The KAPA EvoPlus Kit has been successfully automated on the PerkinElmer Sciclone G3 NGSx liquid handler using an automated method that is compatible with either the tubed or plated reagent formats, and can simultaneously process up to 96 samples. This automated method:

Summary: AVENIO Edge System is a fully automated NGS sample preparation system for library preparation, target enrichment, pooling, normalization and quantification. This study evaluated the inter-site performance of the AVENIO Edge System workflow for whole-exome sequencing (WES) with the KAPA HyperExome Probes (in comparison to the manual workflow) at four sites—two independent labs (sites A and B) and two Roche sites—for a total of seven runs across five instruments at four sites.
The resulting sequencing data demonstrate that the AVENIO Edge System for NGS sample prep automation, integrated with navify® Mutation Caller for variant calling, yields:
Biomek i5 Workstation Automation of KAPA EvoPlus Kit (96-Well Plate)
Authors: Jenni Taller1, Zach Smith1, Lichun Li2, Marsha McMakin2

2Roche Diagnostics/Roche Sequencing & Life Science, Wilmington, MA
Summary: The Roche KAPA EvoPlus Kit is an enzymatic DNA fragmentation library preparation kit designed for a wide range of sample types and inputs, and is compatible with genomic DNA as well as low-quality DNA. The new automated method described in this poster implements KAPA EvoPlus Kits on the Biomek i5 Multichannel Workstation using the pre-plated 96-well reagent format, and offers:
This poster demonstrates successful library preparation on the Biomek i5 Multichannel Workstation using the minimum allowable DNA input of 10 ng for KAPA EvoPlus. The method can be easily implemented on other Biomek i5 Workstations and supported by the application support team, making it a turn-key solution for fast implementation.
